Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Nope, it doesn't if you are unable to switch to pup. Ka'wi can hit you with spell that makes it so you can't switch.

OovooJavver wrote on 2021-06-14 21:14:17

Who said anything about Ka'wi? This is a strat for Dos-Ryga

Great Strat!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-06-09 00:42:21

A really fast easy strat for this one is Zandalari Anklerender-2-1-2 - black claw, hunting party, and if needed leap to finish him off. I'm sure it would work with other black claw, flock etc pets too.

Sadly, they broke that strat with the SL nerfs. I just tried it several times with 2 Anklerenders and they both died with the enemy healed to almost full health.

Just tried this post SL pre-patch and it still works

I use Unborn Val'kyr (1-2-1) , Ikky (1-1-1) and Any Pet
Curse of Doom - Haunt - Black Claw - Flock

TD Script for Beasts of Fable using Iron Starlette (1,1,1), Stitched Pup (1,2,2) and Fluxfire Feline (1,1,1). Works on all but No-No, Ka’wi and Nitun
ability(459) [ round=1 ]
change(#2) [round=2]
if [ self(#2).active ]
ability(362) [ self.aura(Undead:242).exists]
ability(499)
endif
ability(208) [self.round=1]
ability(459) [self.round=2]
change(#1) [self(#2).dead]

Saud wrote on 2017-07-04 22:21:49

TD script for this strategy:

ability(#2) [self.aura(Undead).exists]
change(#1) [self(#2).dead]
change(#2) [enemy.round=2]
ability(#3) [!self.aura(207).exists&self(#2).dead]
ability(#1)

Flashk wrote on 2017-10-12 17:33:45

I was having some trouble in executing the howl command, the problem was on the name of my client, so I modified and now it works on any language:

ability(#2) [self.aura(242).exists]
change(#1) [self(#2).dead]
change(#2) [enemy.round=2]
ability(#3) [!self.aura(207).exists&self(#2).dead]
ability(#1)

The only difference is changing Undead for 242 on the first line.
